RELAUNCH TRIVIA

Released alongside Animorphs #2: The Visitor. Marks the first time the books have been released as official ebooks. They have been brought out for the Amazon Kindle and the Barnes & Noble Nook. The relaunch model for this book originally featured a much younger Jake (see above). The cover animal of this book can be interactively morphed on the official website by the new model. However, it is a full body animation, and is different from the morphing steps that you see on the actual lenticular cover. The official site was created by a company called Popular Front. The launch of the Animorphs site was announced on their blog by their Marketing Director: Official Promotional Links: scholastic.com/JoinOurFight Currently just a re-direct to the official animorphs.com website. "Create your own morph" at scholastic.com/morph Featured on the back of the new books. However, it leads to nothing to at this point. RELAUNCH EDITS & UPDATES

PRODUCT CHANGES The books no longer feature inside step backs with the animal morph in its environment, nor the corner page flip animation, going from human to animal. The new (and more expensive) lenticular prints are a tradeoff for this, as a way to show off the morphing animation right on the cover. The back covers of all the books now use a shortened version of the "We can't tell you who we are." speech. The new version is: We can't tell you who we are. Or where we live. It's too risky, and we've got to be careful. But everyone is in danger. Yeah. Even you. The back summary on all of the books have been shortened and rewritten as well (see original ).   POPCULTURE AND TECHNOLOGY Page 02 - Instead of Jake owning a "Sega", he now just owns a gaming "system". Page 81 - "CD game" has now been changed to just "game" when referring to the Dead Zone game that Jake and Marco like to play. (Submitted by yunyun)   SLANG Page 80 - "Visser Three freakazoid" has now been replaced by "Visser Three monster" by Marco. (Submitted by yunyun)   FIXED SPELLING AND MINOR EDITS Page 34 - "SaladShooter" is now one word when describing the Hork-Bajir.   CONTINUITY Page 35 - Visser Three's speech to first meeting Prince Elfangor in this book has been slightly altered to hint at their personal history and adventure in The Andalite Chronicles. The following in bold color is new: <What have we here? A meddling Andalite?> Visser Three looked more closely at the Andalite's ship. <Ah, but no ordinary Andalite warrior. Prince Elfangor-Sirinial-Shamtul, if I am not mistaken. An honor to meet you again. You're a legend now. How many of our fighters have you shredded? Seven, or was it eight by the time the battle ended?>   FIXED KASUs Page 35 - Elfangor no longer tells the Animorphs that they can send their thoughts to Visser Three as humans. He now tells them that they have to be morphed first: <He cannot hear your thoughts,> the Andalite said. <Unless you are morphed and you direct them to him.> Page 50 - Tobias no longer sucks the cut finger that Dude clawed. The injury was fixed by morphing. Page 55 - Jake can no longer thought-speak to Tobias while in human form. The conversation has been altered so that their powers are now consistent with the rest of the series: I wondered if Tobias had heard my thought. I concentrated: Tobias, can you hear me? He didn't respond. "I just thought something at you. Did you hear me?" I asked. <No. I don't think it works that way. You have to be morphed first.>
