ANIMORPHS #24
THE SUSPICION

STORY | BOOKS | CHARACTERS

SUMMARY

Cassie, the other Animorphs, and Ax have a few little problems. A few very little problems. Actually, the problems call themselves Helmacrons. They're less than an inch tall, and they're pretty upset at Cassie. They believe she stole their ship. Cassie thought it was just a toy, and gave it to charity. Now the Helmacrons want it back.

So the Animorphs and Ax have a new dilemma. Because the Helmacrons have their own secret weapon: They can shrink other beings down to their size. And, if they don't get their ship back soon, everyone on the planet is in for a little surprise...

TRIVIA

  • ANIBASE: Orson Watch: If you look very carefully at the crowd observing the anteaters on the stepback of this book, you can make out a cat poking its head between two of the people. The cat is none other than Orson, making one of her many cameo appearances.

Visser Three Unnamed Creature, and Anteater.

Helmacrons
Teeny tiny little aliens, the Helmacrons are humanoid in shape, only they have two pair of legs instead of one. They wear silver jump suits with turquoise collars. They have heads shaped like an upside down cone with two googly eyes sitting on top. They're fond of using big words when referring to themselves, and think highly of everything they do -- and poorly of everything their competitors do. They are a female-led group keeping all of the males as slaves. Oh, and did we mention that all of the Helmacron leaders are immediately killed? That way they can't make any mistakes. Talk about rough politics.

Visser Three's Unnamed Creature Morph
Another foriegn, unnamed creature that looks like a Medusa's head full of orange snakes, each carrying a scythe-like blade.

Canadese
Aw, Ax he's so crazy: Claiming he was from Canada, he mistakenly said he was Canadese instead of Canadian. I'm sure Cassie's father probably figured he just forgot his medication that morning...
